I recently had the pleasure of going to China for a book tour for the new Chinese translation of my book, Nature Wants Us to Be Fat, which was translated by Professor Weimo Zhu. I was able to travel to 6 cities with him, giving lectures at Universities , Hospitals, and businesses (like Ali Baba). A highlight was to speak on national TV with coverage by the People’s Daily, the top newspaper in China. We were on a 60 minutes-equivalent, and reached more than half a million people. Obesity is epidemic in China, and we met with many groups to discuss how reducing sugar and refined carbohydrates may be a practical way to reduce obesity and diabetes. We also emphasized the importance of exercise. Several research collaborations are expected.
